Chair Yoga - uses traditional yoga postures to strengthen, stretch and mobilise the whole body. Chairs are used to aid balance so that poses can be performed whilst seated. The class finishes with a guided relaxation to help restore inner peace and tranquillity. Mats and other equipment are provided.
PILATES
Participants are encouraged to work at their own level with options; those with some experience can add challenges whilst beginners develop confidence with the Pilates techniques.
Pilates helps to improve posture, mobility of the joints, balance, flexibility, co-ordination and muscular support for the lower back. The class is taught on the mats and involves lying on the front, side and back along with some seated and optional kneeling work.
